What activities are Time Bank members involved in?
Following on from the cycle maintenance workshop in January and the cycle ride around Islington’s green spaces our next event was on a hot Saturday in July. A group of local participants and a gardener from Groundwork helped to tidy and plant a local disabled resident’s garden on St Mary’s Path; it was a great day (see photos). All ages came to help out and participants were able to share and learn garden knowledge as well as meeting new people and having a good time together. Participants received a voucher to use at the fare trade café in St Mary’s crypt and we were most grateful for the ice creams and jug of Pimms supplied by Jenny. Some of us ended the day by watching England lose the semi final in the world cup! Oh well thank goodness for the Pimms!! Also a huge thanks to Kathy and Ginny and anyone else who has been watering the new plants!!
